Phuket city tour places
If you will be on a private tour we suggest you include, along with the Big Buddha and one nice viewpoint visit, the following places which are usually less crowded and spectacular to take unique pictures of your experience.
The places we consider a must-visit in Phuket town:
Jui Tui Chinese Temple
The temple is among the most crucial in Phuket. Jui Tui Chinese Temple plays a very critical role in the famed yearly Phuket Vegetarian Festival. The reasons are striking and they are all exhibited in portraits and pictures inside the temple, along with many pictures of the Temple history dating back to 1911, when the temple has been just single structure, without the contemporary walls or side buildings.
Khao Rang Hill at Phuket Town, Khao Rang Viewpoint
Khao Rang Hill is by far Phuket town’s most famous viewpoint. On the northwest of the town center, this hill summit provides views overlooking the southeast area of Phuket island. From here you can see many neighboring smaller islands, across the mountains, a most striking view of the Phuket Big Buddha.
Well known also as Rang Hill Viewpoint, the location features a really nice white pagoda, leading into a platform in the edge of the hilltop. The place is very serene, surrounded by landscaped gardens and rubber trees.
Phuket Walking Street (each Sunday in 16:00 — 22:00)
It is located on the superbly remodeled Thalang Road, directly in the middle of the historic Sino-Portuguese area of Phuket Town. Thalang street is about a 350m-long. The road walking market hosts a mixture of Thai Muslim and Indian stores, Baba stores (Chinese migrants settled in Phuket at the start of the 20th century through the tin mining age). You can find here a great selection of Thai culinary ideas as well as handicraft and gift stores.
